JANUARY BASKETBALL SCHEDULE
Victory
Academy
offers students a variety of opportunities to develop their athletic abilities as well as participate in competitive play. Victory competes in the Private School Athletic League (PSAL) in the following sports: boys’ flag football, girls’ volleyball, boys’ and girls’ basketball, and girls’ cheerleading. With the exception of boys’ flag football, all sports are offered to students in grades 4-8. For elementary girls in grades K4-4, there is a booster squad that teaches cheerleading techniques to younger girls. The booster squad works with the cheerleaders during basketball season.
Football and volleyball are played during the fall, from August through November. Basketball begins in November and lasts until the middle of February. Cheerleader tryouts are held at the end of each school year to select the following school year’s squad. During the summer, the cheerleaders attend a cheer camp at LSU and compete in local competitions. During the school year, the girls cheer at the majority of the football and basketball games.
